Swara Bumi at Urban Green Connect 2024: Bridging Urban Life and Sustainability

From 25 to 28 September 2024, Swara Bumi joined forces with Pasar Keliling to co-create Urban Green Connect (UGC), a four-day event held at Chillax Sudirman, South Jakarta. UGC served as a vibrant space for conversations, ideas, and tangible action toward sustainable urban living.

This collaboration aimed to connect people, ideas, and solutions through a community-first, inclusive approach that reflected Swara Bumi and Pasar Keliling's shared mission of making sustainability accessible and actionable in everyday life.

From Ideas to Actions

UGC 2024 was not just another marketplace—it was a living, breathing hub of change. The event featured over 50 local tenants and pop-up booths, educational workshops, interactive art, and community forums designed to engage urban dwellers of all ages.

Swara Bumi curated and brought together a robust lineup of contributors:

Art That Speaks

A key highlight was a collaborative art installation crafted from discarded materials led by Talitha Maranila. The piece invited public participation, turning it into a shared artwork that reminded visitors how collective action creates a lasting impact.

Giving Back to Nature

In line with its values, a portion of the event's proceeds was dedicated to mangrove reforestation in Muara Angke—planting real roots in the community and the environment.

Our Collective Future

Urban Green Connect marked the beginning of something bigger. As part of Swara Bumi’s mission, we see this event as the first of many collaborative platforms that activate real change and spark sustainable culture in the heart of urban life.
